These costs are for self-funding private patients.

Mr Reid charges rates that are reasonable and consistent with his skill and experience.

Other fees on request

Surgical fees above exclude any anaesthetist fees (if using regional or general anaesthetic) and exclude hospital charges.  Hand Surgery patients should agree on an individualised package price quotation from the hospital which includes surgical, anaesthetic and hospital fees and the usual number of follow up appointments.  It would not include hand therapy (if required).

Asterisk (*) denotes procedures that Mr Reid usually performs wide awake local anaesthetic no tourniquet (WALANT) and therefore do not require an anaesthetist.  This choice is only possible if Mr Reid deems it appropriate after careful assessment.  Where possible, Mr Reid prefers this technique as it has been proven to be safer for patients and they may be able to see the immediate results of surgery.  It is not suitable for everyone.
